Frequency Up-Conversion for Vibration Energy Harvesting: A Review

چکیده

A considerable amount of ambient vibration energy spreads over an ultra-low frequency spectrum. However, conventional resonant-type linear harvesters usually operate within high and narrow bands, which cannot match the frequencies many sources. If excitation deviates a bit from natural harvester, harvesting performance will deteriorate drastically. Because characteristic, it is challenging to reliably harvest vibrations. To address this mismatching issue, vibrations are converted into high-frequency oscillations using certain mechanical mechanisms, termed up-conversion techniques. This paper reviews existing approaches that can realize for enhancing low-frequency According their working methods classified three categories: impact-based, plucking-based, snap-through-based approaches. The principles explained in detail. Representative designs all categories reviewed. overview on state-of-the-art technology would guide better design future kinetic systems.
